My girlfriend had some funny charges appear on her bank statement, one was $100 yesterday and today she had one that was $263. It looked like it was a charge for using google adwords or something involving it, which she has never used. Is this probably a sign that someone has stolen her identity? Or is it a Google issue? Has anyone experienced anything like this?

It makes no difference what you have learned in regards to affiliate marketing. There is a huge amount of competition and yet it is still possible for anyone interested and willing to learn to make $5,000 to $10,000 per month, especially if using Clickbank as a way to make it happen and not just affiliate networks like CJ. The hours put in will be quite a bit for beginners learning to get the ball rolling. However, once you get into the swing of things, a person can cut down their time to making that amount only working part-time hours. Any individual looking to make money with affiliate marketing should expect to work long hours and not expect profit within until about 45 days out. Sure there are people who have found a way to profit within a week’s time, but the reason for setting the expectation at 45 days to profit is so that people are not easily discouraged.
Virtually any way to make money can produce a huge cash flow but only if commitment and devotion to making it work is there. Affiliate marketing is not a way to get rich quick and should not be handled as such. There are people who do get rich pretty fast. However, if you are going to get into this form of making money, then do so knowing this is not a way to get rich quick. A lot of time having money does put things in motion faster than having no money. But research is key to any success. If you don’t research properly, then no amount of money in the world will produce favorable results for you.
The following are some tips that can assist you on your path to success with making money online with affiliate marketing and such programs out there on the Internet.
About Overture, WTBNow and the ‘Big G’ Google
Making web pages that rank in search engines is one way that affiliate marketers promote other companies’ products or services. Having it designed and set up in such a way that it gets the top three positions in its search engine will make a world of difference. The reason is because when people get online, they usually head over to a search engine (largely Google) and type in keywords or phrases of what they wish to get information because they are wanting to buy something, doing a research paper on a topic and need more information, or to be entertained only. Learn how to find out what people are searching for and use WTBNow.com to see if there are no buyers for the product or service you are looking to promote.
For example, if research finds that people are steadily searching for an Xbox360, then head over to WTBNow.com and type in something like:
wtb xbox360
And hit ‘search’. Results will show up revealing people interested in immediately buying an Xbox360. It is best to use ‘wtb’, ‘want to buy’ or similar phrases in front of the item you are searching for in that search engine because it pulls up threads and ads on classified sites where people (buyers) have actually included that in the title field of their ad. One of the other cool things about this engine is that the results are pretty up to date and that is very useful for any affiliate marketer. No marketer wants outdated search results especially when it comes to researching for what people want now and not months or years ago. The more current the research is the better.
After research, you would create a web page that gives them what they want and get ranked high in Google so that they can find your web page. Once they get on your web page, then it is clearly up to you to “close the sale” and that is important to do to make every element on your page have and serve a purpose of getting the sale.
Getting an Email List of Your Own
Some people would rather not deal with email lists, but these things are profitable. When you gather a list of people specifically interested in affiliate marketing, for example, then you have an edge over other marketers looking to sell their product or service of another company or their own to affiliate marketers. You have a targeted list of people interested in and waiting for all things related to affiliate marketing that you have to offer. You can promote products to this list and even services like an e-book about how to get targeted traffic for your product or how to generate the most cash flow out of each CPA offer. You can promote your own service of creating the most effective landing pages (better known as copywriting). And if you know of others looking to promote their products you can offer them advertising to your list for at a price that you deem your list is worth. See the importance of having an email list and how you can great additional revenue for your affiliate marketing career?
