A key to a successful Internet Marketing Strategy is a Sponsored Search Marketing campaign. One primary part of Sponsored Search marketing is the Google AdWords system.
Google AdWords allows users the ability to bid on top placement on the Google website and the Google search network. The Google AdWords system also has access to a content network which allows syndication of their marketing across a variety of websites.
Google AdWords is categorized as Search Engine Marketing when it comes to an Internet Marketing Strategy.
We will dissect the structure of a Google AdWords account to help you plan out the proper strategy when it comes to the search engine marketing aspect of your Internet Marketing Strategy. A Google AdWords Account has the following structure:
Campaign > Ad Group > Keywords & Ad Copy
The campaign level of the Google AdWords account appears immediately after the main account level. A campaign is the level of an AdWords account is where you have the ability to set the geographic targeting, language targeting, time scheduling for both daily and for the time on the clock in 15 minute increments. The campaign level description should correlate with the internal theme of Ad Groups.
Campaign>AdGroup>Keywords & Ad Copy
The Ad Group level of the Google AdWords account appears immediately after the campaign level of the account. The Ad Group is the area where we are able to have 10,000 (ten-thousand) sections to organize your keywords in direct correlation with the Ad Copy you plan on your keywords triggering. Your Ad Group name should have a relevant theme to the keywords found in the Ad Group.
Campaign>AdGroup>Keywords & Ad Copy
The Keywords of the Google AdWords account appear directly below the Ad Group. Keywords are words you would like to target on the search engine. There are three distinct styles to create your keywords and they are broad match, phrase match, and exact match.
Broad match keywords target the words you typed in and any words in combination with them or between the words.
Phrase match is words locked next to each other but keywords are able to attach on to either end of the phrase.
Exact match is the exact keyword you want your Ad Copy to hit for. Your Ad Copy and keywords should have strong relevant correlation.
Campaign>AdGroup>Keywords & Ad Copy
Ad Copy is part of an Ad Group where you need to have strong relevancy and correlation with themes in the keyword set. The Ad Copy you are provided has area for 4 (four) messages: Ad Title, Description Line 1, Description Line 2, and your Display URL.
Your AdCopy should have multiple catches to stand out in the marketplace. Your Ad Title should create interest in your Ad Copy and help the rest of your message standout. One key to think about is what will set you apart from the general marketplace. This may include capitalizing all the words in your title or even placing a call to action with even the just the first word capitalized leading into a message. Your AdCopy will vary if you’re selling an item versus selling a service. Some ads may be local oriented if you are in the service business. Also, local oriented ads targeted to a specific geography will need to be separated into their own Campaign.

AdWords accounts take a well structured approach for the most optimal results and relevancy programmed in before you begin your bidding. AdWords Strategies to Increase Page Position
There are many AdWords strategies to consider however the purpose of this Article is to help you understand why it is important to have a high page position and what AdWords strategies you can implement to in order to obtain one. The while there are many reasons for you to obtain a high page position I will only concentrate one to for now as it is considered to be by many the most important. The reason that you want a high page position in Google AdWords is an obvious one for most; you want more traffic. Traffic leads to more sales. In other words the more traffic you have the more money you make. The more visible your AdWords ad is to the reader then the more clicks you are likely to get. In other words the less work a person has to do in order to see your add the better. If you AdWords Ad is in the first position Google’s search results the user looking for a product can more easily see your ad then if you were in the 10th position.
Google AdWords Quality Score
Google AdWords uses a quality score system to rate your ads keywords in relation to your overall campaign. The Quality score of Google AdWords is very important when considering page position and is directly related. Let me explain. The better your quality score the lower your cost per click will be, assuming that all other areas of your campaign are in unison with other AdWords quality score criteria. There are several determining factors to consider when trying to obtain a high quality score, however I will focus on two main factors for now that can have a dramatic effect on your quality score. The first determining factor is that of relevance. The more relevant you overall campaign is to your to the product or service you are selling is the better. You don’t want to have the keyword “meditation” if your advertisement says “AdWords Strategies” unless your selling meditation related products or services. The history of your campaign is also very important in determining your quality score. If you have had a bad campaign on a certain URL that you are using for a landing page in the past and you are struggling to increase your quality score, you may want to consider starting a new campaign with a new URL.
The “Pay Over” Strategy
Another AdWords strategy for those that have money to spare is one of the most obvious. For this AdWords strategy what you are going to do is outbid your competitor. However your are not just going to bid the going rate. You are going to bid well over the highest rate. By doing this you are accomplishing three things. First of all in most cases you are going to be in the number one page position on Google. Secondly You are going to increases the bid for your competitors. Additionally you will be making it harder for your competitors to compete with you, and possible have them drop out of the competition for your keyword or keywords all together. Now you are not going to keep your bid over the highest suggested price for too long. Once you see your competitors drop out of the competition you can go ahead and reduce your bid, while still obtaining the highest page position.
Conclusion
In conclusion page position is arguably one of the most important factors to consider when starting an advertising campaign with Google AdWords. The higher your page position is the more visible your AdWords ad is, which ultimately can translate into more clicks, which in turn can mean more sales. There are many things you can do to increase your page position however some of the easiest and most effective are improving your quality score and paying more than your competitor. Overall, implementing AdWords strategies can be lot of work and takes focus and determination, however in the end it’s worth it.

With Facebook as the #2 in website traffic, only second to Google, it is no wonder that businesses are using it to improve their image and visibility in the social media. While it is definitely a powerful tool, there are very specific marketing strategies you will need to make it effective for you.
Here are 7 Success Strategies for Marketing Effectively on Facebook:
1. First and foremost is to be a social. Creating a genuine social network is the key to being accepted and respected among your friends and any potential leads and customers. Take time to get to know the people on your lists. Visit their pages and comment on their postings. Letting them know you are listening to them goes a long way in making that connection that you are looking for. Again, it is important to be genuine.
2. Create a Fan Page. You can have multiple fan pages that are directed to different people and interests. To be effective with your fan pages, I suggest you connect your blog through the “networked blogs” feature. This way, you can share business content without appearing to be spamming. Linking to Twitter, as well means you can post to your blog, Twitter and Facebook all at the same time giving you more exposure on a personal level.
3. Use the List feature. This is an often overlooked feature that allows you to categorize different people, business friends, personal friends, family, etc. You then have multiple options of sharing information differently with different groups/lists. This can be a powerful tool once you learn how to market to the different groups.
4. Add new friends regularly. Find different groups that represent your taget market and selectively add friends. It is important to add a message when you are requesting friendship as it will give them a genuine sense of your interest and will go a long way in building a lasting relationship.
5. HTML feature. Another overlooked feature, HTMLpage, is purely optional but can be an effective success tool. The HTML page is added through your applications and allows you to create a “Front Page” of sorts, complete with an opt-in form. Here you can capture leads from people/friends who are interested in your offer, whether it be a product or service.
6. Deliver good content. In order to brand yourself and to be taken seriously, you must deliver good content. If you are perceived to just be selling, then you will lose your credibility. Make sure your readers get valuable information and they will return time and time again. You want to be seen as a leader in your industry and not a desperate sales person.
7. Be consistent. Successful marketing strategies are best realized when you are consistent. A steady stream of valuable content, relationship postings, and overall attention to your market will keep you and your product or service ever before the people you are wanting to impact. Avoid sudden barrages of massive content then dropping off the map for a while. It will appear that your business is sporadic, as well. Spend a little time each day doing something to add friends, build your lists, and post good content (not necessarily all on the same day, of course).
